Our Lady “May” Rosary Beads Connemara Marble

In Ireland, the month of May is dedicated to Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary, a tradition that began in the Middle Ages. All around the country there will be parades and special masses dedicated to her. It is rooted in the belief that May, with its blossoming nature and rebirth, is a fitting time to honor the woman who brought life to the world through the birth of Jesus. May is also associated with various rituals, particularly Bealtaine, which also centered around the celebration of spring and new beginnings.

Our Irish rosary beads with a heart or centerpiece of Our Lady and pink beads are a beautiful and meaningful devotional piece and are inspired by the apparition at Knock Co. Mayo here in Ireland in August of 1879. This hand crafted Irish rosary combines spiritual strength with natural beauty.

We have been handcrafting Rosary Beads here in Rathfarnham since 1945. Four generations of my family have crafted these rosaries with care and pride.

Each rosary holds a very special meaning both to us and the receiver. These “Our Lady” beads continue that tradition, our natural gemstone Connemara Marble is carefully hand carved in our family workshop here in Ireland. A traditional antique tone Celtic cross and the image of Our Lady grace the center of this timeless rosary.

Rosary beads are an inter generational gift often passed down through the hands of mothers to daughters, fathers to sons – a link between generations that becomes a family heirloom.
