From the heart of Ireland our Celtic Heart Pendant is hand crafted here in our family workshop in Ireland using only the finest, green Connemara Marble from our quarry in Lissoughter Co. Galway.
Each piece of this natural gemstone is totally unique – no two pieces are ever the same. Here we have carved a heart shape and with intricate silver work created the unbreakable bond of the Celtic knot. This symbol is as ancient as the marble with which it is made.
Spirals, step patterns and key patterns are dominant motifs in Celtic art before the Christian influence on the Celts, which began around 450AD. These designs found their way into early Christian manuscripts and artwork with the addition of depictions from life, such as animals, plants and even humans.
In the beginning, the patterns were intricate interwoven cords, and as time went on the designs became more complex and ornamental.
According to legend there are different meanings for Celtic knot work. One tells of the tangle of knots that symbolize life’s journey and the curved road we must take. Another legend tells that it symbolizes family.
This Celtic heart pendant has been inspired by our favorite meaning to be found which is eternity – the knots have no beginning, no middle and no end, a symbol of never ending love.
Presented gift boxed and with a certificate of authenticity your piece has been hallmarked at the Irish Assay Office located at Dublin Castle.

Connemara Marble is a rare form of marble found only in Connemara Co. Galway in the West of Ireland.
• It is a calcite marble which contains large amounts of serpentine. The marble forms when limestone is heated under pressure. While the color is predominantly green there are often shades of grey and brown seen throughout.
• Formed from sediment deposited in a shallow primal sea over 900 million years ago. The beautiful striations of rich to pale green within the marble are formed by tiny crystals of green serpentine, diopside, chlorite and rich white calcite with dolomite.
• Connemara Marble has been used for centuries as a medium of exchange. Its beautiful swirling patterns perfectly represent the Irish landscapes where it is found.
An inspiration for jewelry makers and architects across the world as the patterns are different in each stone which means each piece is entirely unique!
