The Book of Kells is regarded as Ireland’s National treasure. The book itself, a copy of the four Gospels, was created around 800 AD and is hand illuminated with what is regarded as the finest example of Celtic art in the world.
Today the book can be seen in the library of Trinity College in Dublin and is considered a national treasure.
