Torc Connemara Marble Sterling Silver Ring

The Torc symbol was thought to act as a talisman offering protection from evil forces. An intriguing ancient, Celtic fashion piece the Torc was a highly prized piece and coveted by those of high society.

If there is one piece of jewelry that defines ancient societies then the Irish Torc is it.

We have taken inspiration for this handcrafted, sterling silver ring from these ancient designs symbolizing status, protection and royalty.

Fittingly our Connemara Marble is over 900 million years old and is one of Ireland’s oldest and totally unique gemstone. Hand crafted in Ireland the ring is made using sterling silver which has received it’s hallmark at Dublin Castle.

Whether you are interested in Celtic Symbology or the healing properties of Gemstones this ring is a natural, contemporary Irish design steeped in history.

These are US ring sizes please check https://connemaramarble.com/frequently-asked-questions/ for our ring size guide.

Description

In the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin you can see a magnificent display of Celtic jewelry.

The collection of prehistoric gold and metal work ranges in date between 2200 BC and 500 BC. Most are pieces of jewellery but the precise function of some is unknown.

Around 1200 BC new gold working techniques were developed. During this time a great variety of Torc pieces were made by twisting bars or strips of gold.
