This silver cross is a real work of art inspired by one of the oldest high crosses here in Ireland. Believed to have been erected in the 7th century St. Patrick’s cross is found in Carndonagh County Donegal. These iconic crosses are real living history that we can still see and touch.
Remember, this was a time before the printing press so these artisans hand carved the images using primitive tools into the stone. You will see Saint Patrick as the central figure and his flock below who came from the four corners of Ireland to hear him teach the message of the Gospel.
The silver work is quite exceptional helped by the oxidization which truly highlights the design.

Silver St. Patrick’s Cross Pendant
Born in Britain around 389 AD the young Patrick was captured as a slave and spent six lonely years in Ireland. After escaping back to his family he studied to become a priest. In a dream Patrick heard the Irish calling him to return and preach the gospel.
He returned to Ireland in 432AD to convert the Irish. Patrick used the three leafed shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Saint Patrick is probably one of the best known Saints around the world especially on his feast day March 17th. This silver cross is inspired by his story.
