Connemara is a region found in County Galway. The word itself comes from the ancient Gaelic language and means “Inlets for the Sea”. It is pronounced con- uh-mar-ah.
A visitor to this region of Ireland cannot help but be bowled over by its untouched, awe inspiring, serene beauty. This beautiful district stretches from the rugged Twelve Ben’s mountain range in the north through lake-rich round stone Bog and on to the golden shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
