Celtic Skulls or Heads have a strong significance in Celtic Culture. The Celts were very much drawn to the notion of openings and show a great interest in magical doorways or gateways.
A Human skull has five openings – two eyes, two nose cavities and a mouth, hence the connection to openings. Whilst some may think a skull is a symbol of darkness in actual fact the Celts saw it as a transitional symbol from one life to the next.
Set within the iconic Celtic Cross and centered with a smooth, polished cabochaun of Connemara Marble the pendant is presented on a 24″ stainless steel chain and presented in a hession pouch.
