Description
Claddagh Torc Connemara Marble Silver Ring
The Claddagh is a traditional Irish ring named after the fishing village of Claddagh close to the city of Galway in the West of Ireland.
Claddagh Jewelry can be worn as a symbol of heritage or as a symbol of commitment to three beautiful sentiments. Love – represented by the Connemara Marble heart, Loyalty – represented by the Crown and Friendship – represented by the hands holding the heart.
It is said that Richard Joyce created the first Claddagh ring in the late 1600’s . He established himself as a goldsmith in Galway and went on to produce copies of the ring and examples of his work can be seen in the National Museum in Dublin.
Here we have taken Richard’s Claddagh and our ancient Torc symbol to construct our Claddagh Torc. Established in 1945 we have been working with our natural gemstone for over 80 years. We own an operate our quarry in the town land of Lissoughter in Co. Galway. Your gemstone is hand lifted from the ground and taken to our workshop. Here it is cut and crafted by expert jewelry makers. You are taking home a real piece of Ireland with our unique Connemara Marble Jewelry.
