Connemara Marble is a rare form of marble found only in the West of Ireland. It is one of the rarest form of marble in the world and dates back some 900 million years!
Our family owns and operates the oldest working quarry in Lissoughter Co Galway where we sustainably lift the Connemara Marble gemstone from the ground. We transport it to our workshop in Rathfarnham in Dublin where our craftsmen and woman get to work. There is nothing added at all to our marble. It is hand carved and highly polished using natural beeswax.
Here we have taken 6 and 8 mm Connemara Marble beads and used gold and silver tone beads decorated with Celtic Scrollwork throughout. The necklace has an adjustable slide closure which means you can customise it to your preferred length.
The set of 2 bracelets again are made with 6 and 8mm Connemara Marble beads and measure 0.67″ W. Again the adjustable slide closer means you can adjust to suit.

Connemara Marble is a rare form of marble found in Connemara Co. Galway in the West of Ireland.
• It is a calcite marble which contains large amounts of serpentine. The marble forms when limestone is heated under pressure. While the colour is predominantely green there are often shades of grey and brown seen thoughout.
• Formed from sediment deposited in a shallow primal sea over 900 million years ago. The beautiful stryations of rich to pale green within the marble are formed by tiny crystals of green serpentine, diopside, chlorite and rich white calcite with dolomite.
• Connemara Marble has been used for centuries as a medium of exchange. Its beautiful swirling patterns perfectly represent the Irish landscapes where it is found. An inspiration for jewelry makers and architects across the world as the patterns are different in each stone which means each piece is entirely unique!
