The word Connemara comes from the Gaelic meaning “Inlets of the Sea”. This Sterling Silver Irish Pendant is inspired by the Wild Atlantic Coastline of Ireland.

When you visit you cannot help be bowled over by the awe-inspiring beauty of this region of Ireland. Indeed, Oscar Wilde described it perfectly when he spoke of the area possessing a “savage beauty”. Here in Ireland we have a deep-rooted relationship with the sea. Despite our island being so small we have endless coastlines of stunning beaches and see a lot of our history through the prism of the sea.

The Twelve Bens mountain range dominates the Connemara region and the rugged Atlantic coastline is filled with intricate bays and hidden coves. The Atlantic weather systems bring a temperate climate and above average rainfall but nothing a pair of wellingtons and a raincoat cannot cope with!

This piece is inspired by the lush landscape from where our precious marble is found. Our rare, unique and iconic stone is a real piece of Ireland hand carved from this special place.

The pendant measuring 1.2 inches long holds a large piece of natural Connemara Marble encased in 9.5 grams of hallmarked sterling silver which has been crafted into the smooth, flowing lines of the waves.

This is a truly unique piece of natural Irish jewelry which is presented on an 18″ chain and within a hinged gift box.
